Vienna (OTS) – Ing. Mag. Bernhard Nigl, LL.M. (45) is moving to Aon Austria after more than 15 years at UNIQA Versicherung and has been responsible for the Vienna area as Regional Manager Sales together with Bernhard Rustwurm since January 1, 2024.
The risk consultant and insurance broker Aon has gained Bernhard Nigl, a proven expert in the insurance industry with many years of experience. Bernhard Nigl’s focus will be primarily on new customer business and sales.
Rustwurm and Nigl: a “dream team”
His area of responsibility enables the existing team around regional manager Bernhard Rustwurm to concentrate even more intensively on the organization and support of existing customers. Particularly against the background of increasingly complex corporate risks, they value the comprehensive and competent advice on risk hedging from Aon as a global group with regional contacts on site.

About Bernhard Nigl
Bernhard Nigl started in the insurance industry in 2008 as executive assistant to the UNIQA Group Chief Investment Officer until 2012, which was followed by two more years until 2014 as executive assistant to the Chief Operating Officer. Until he moved to Aon, his internal career path at UNIQA took him to a variety of positions. 2014 to 2016 as Change & Integration Manager UNIQA International, and from 2016 to the end of 2023 as Head of International Business Development, UNIQA Corporate Business. Mr. Nigl holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and a master’s degree in insurance law from the Danube University Krems. He is the author of the publication Cyber Insurance, a practice-oriented outline. Mr. Nigl is married, has a daughter and lives in Vienna.
