Anchor bread continues to expand and opens its second branch in the 19th Viennese district at Billrothstrasse 84. The decisive tip for this location came from moderator and anchor fan Kati Bellowitsch.
“My family loves anchor products,” enthuses Kati Bellowitsch. “When I happened to see that there is a perfect opportunity for a new branch in my home district, I passed it on of course.”
Tina Schrettner, marketing management anchor bread, is also enthusiastic: “Anker stands for Viennese bakery tradition. An anchor bread branch therefore belongs in every Grätzel in Vienna. We are very happy to be represented with a branch after a long search. ”
For example, branch manager Daniela Schwarzinger and her team in the small but particularly fine business opposite the S-Bahn station Oberdöbling offer oven-fresh baked goods, continuously freshly prepared filled alarm clocks, various pastries and of course best, fragrant coffee in a wide variety of variations. An assortment that awakens from the well-known anchor product, the g’staubten, about the popular Briochekipferl, the unique Ribiseltascherl, which extends heart bread to Easter pincens and is also available on Sundays and public holidays.
District head Daniel Resch, who, by the way, has a special preference for the anchor ham-egg croissant: “Döbling stands for his high quality of life. A traditional company like anchor bread fits perfectly into our district. I am sure that the new branch at this location will be particularly well received. ”
A sign of attachment – Kati Bellowitsch sells on April 3 for a good cause
On April 3, 2025, Kati Bellowitsch will also be behind the counter in the new branch – and for a good cause. Because anchor has been supporting a wide variety of Viennese Grätzel projects for several years. The entire proceeds of their deployment will be announced on this day, all details are announced in a timely manner, to the team of volunteers in the Döbling district museum, to carry out children’s tours. The anchor bread group operates over 100 bakery branches with a focus on the Vienna/Lower Austria area and is therefore the largest bakery branchist in Austria. As for the products, Anker stands for more than 130 years of regional baking tradition. G’Staubter Wecken, Mürbes Kipferl & Co by Anker are baked exclusively with Austrian flour. The focus is also on the focus of all other ingredients and – wherever possible – Austrian origin. Trained bakers: Inside, their many years of knowledge of bread and baking culture pass on to the next generation, because – supported by the latest technology – for example, at Kaisergugelhupf, Striezel or poppyfleesser, anchor is still relying on a lot of experience and traditional manual work.
