Animal Easter – Animal Protection Austria starts Easter basket campaign

Over 1,500 protégés are looking forward to receiving gifts from the Easter Bunny

Vienna (OTS) The Easter basket campaign is starting again this year to benefit the over 1,500 animals at the Vösendorf animal shelter. This is no ordinary Easter basket, because instead of colorfully painted eggs and chocolate Easter bunnies, this year again animal-loving people have the opportunity to fill the animal protégés’ baskets with their donations.

For many animals it is not the first Easter in the animal shelter. The American Staffordshire Terrier Mawish, the tomcat Findus and the laboratory pig Merlin, among others, have been spending the spring festival in Vösendorf for several years. “Even if our protégés’ greatest wish is a forever home, we try to make their time with us in the animal shelter as pleasant as possible. In addition to the great daily work of our animal keepers, who lovingly care for the animals and provide them with medical care and give them the attention they are missing, we try to give them special joy with such actions,” says MMag. Drin. Madeleine Petrovic, President of the Vienna Animal Welfare Association (Tierschutz Austria)

The animal residents of the animal shelter have the opportunity to do so up until Easter Monday, April 1st, 2024 to bring great joy through a donation at Easter.
