Velden am Wörthersee (ots) – Intrigue, a conspiracy, lots of champagne, oysters and wild parties – AM WÖRTHERSEE is an Austrian series project (6×45′) and probably the most spectacular film project since The Pass. “The costumes are big, the picture is big – it’s shot in an incredibly American way,” explains leading actor Julian Waldner. “I think it’s so cool that someone in Austria dares to really push the envelope and show what we can do.” Manuel Rubey is also amazed: “It’s unbelievable who has put everything into place for this project. Even though AM WÖRTHERSEE is thought to be really big, the project is still completely blowing up in our faces.”
In addition to Manuel Rubey and Julian Waldner, the cast also includes Michael Pink, Reinhard Nowak and Sarah Jung as well as influencers such as Anna Strigl and model Alena Gerber. The plot
A bitterly black, hedonistic miniseries about desire for revenge, social injustice and evil pasts – Austrian, after all.
In Austria’s Caribbean, Lake Wörthersee, a vengeful geologist causes the facade of the decadent tourism clans to crumble with targeted explosions. If the local hoteliers fail to thwart his perfidious plan, they will lose their lives – or what would be even more devastating – their entire wealth.
