In 2024 led Travel Height over 5,000 climbers to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, remaining the largest organizer on the mountain for the third year in a row. According to data from the Kilimanjaro National Park Authority, this represents more than 15% of all annual ascents of the iconic mountain.

By 2025, the company expects more than 6,000 climbers on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thomas Becker, head of Altezza’s mountain department, highlighted the company’s preparations: “Although the season is still a month away, we have already taken all measures to offer our customers a safe and comfortable experience in 2025. Another group of our mountain -Guides has passed the internationally recognized Wilderness First Responder certification and we have introduced a specially designed model of new tents. These tents provide warmth at higher altitudes and stay at lower camps on sunny days pleasantly cool, which offers ideal comfort.”

Altezza Travel continues to strengthen its collaboration with Kilimanjaro National Park. Dickson Muganda, project manager at Altezza, emphasized the company’s commitment to nature conservation: “In 2024, we equipped the park with modern firefighting equipment and strategically placed containers at each entrance gate. In 2025, we plan to build a high mountain medical checkpoint 4600 meters. Negotiations with the national park authority are ongoing.”

When asked what makes Kilimanjaro stand out as a travel destination, Jack Wardale, Altezza’s travel ambassador, gave an inspiring perspective: “Kilimanjaro is not just relaxation, but a transformative experience. While beach holidays in countries like Thailand or the Caribbean often have a similar effect, they connect Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro exposes you to nature in its purest form. Witnessing a sunrise from Uhuru Peak is a life-changing experience that rekindles creativity and offers a fresh perspective on life.”

But Tanzania’s appeal goes far beyond Kilimanjaro. Kurt Vogel, an experienced safari enthusiast from Berlin who traveled with Altezza in 2024, praised the country’s wildlife: “I have visited parks all over Africa, but none can compare to the Serengeti or the Ngorongoro Crater in terms of the diversity of wildlife “Even lesser-known parks like Mkomazi are gaining popularity and offering rare sightings, such as rhinos.”

To meet increasing demand, Altezza Travel has expanded its safari fleet with 10 new Toyota Land Cruisers. These vehicles feature WiFi, comfortable seats, on-board refrigerators and are driven by highly qualified guides with extensive knowledge of Tanzania’s ecosystems. Combined with stays in luxurious lodges in the heart of the savannah, Altezza ensures that every safari becomes an unforgettable trip.
