In 2024 led Travel Height over 5,000 climbers to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, remaining the largest organizer on the mountain for the third year in a row. According to data from the Kilimanjaro National Park Authority, this represents more than 15% of all annual ascents of the iconic mountain.
By 2025, the company expects more than 6,000 climbers on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thomas Becker, head of Altezza’s mountain department, highlighted the company’s preparations: “Although the season is still a month away, we have already taken all measures to offer our customers a safe and comfortable experience in 2025. Another group of our mountain -Guides has passed the internationally recognized Wilderness First Responder certification and we have introduced a specially designed model of new tents. These tents provide warmth at higher altitudes and stay at lower camps on sunny days pleasantly cool, which offers ideal comfort.”
Altezza Travel continues to strengthen its collaboration with Kilimanjaro National Park. Dickson Muganda, project manager at Altezza, emphasized the company’s commitment to nature conservation: “In 2024, we equipped the park with modern firefighting equipment and strategically placed containers at each entrance gate. In 2025, we plan to build a high mountain medical checkpoint 4600 meters. Negotiations with the national park authority are ongoing.”
