“We have been building a special class for the Schneeberg armchair railway in Losenheim for three months: From the spring of 2026, families, children and mountain bike fans can look forward to an extra portion of fun and adrenaline in the newly built Alps Bikepark Schneeberg, then 11 kilometers of trails and lines are available for our compatriots, athletes and guests,” pulls NÖ State Council of Transport LH Deputy Udo Landbauer A more than gratifying intermediate balance over the quickly preceding construction progress of the Alpen Bike Park Schneeberg.
At the end of summer, the construction work on numerous trail passages will already be well advanced, due to mild adaptations, even 11 in the first stage of expansion can now even be opened instead of the 10 kilometers originally assumed to trails and lines. In autumn 2025, the construction work for the Riders Playground, the Skills area for beginners and children, will also start in the valley. The Shop & Rent, which is being built in the Schneeberg station building, is already taking shapes. The route now captivates with a scenic leadership and the very steep passages were defused by newly built stages.
With a total investment volume of 2.6 million euros, the Alpen Bikepark Schneeberg is being created for the existing infrastructure of the Schneeberg armchair railway an action, sports and nature experience for families, children and sporty adrenaline fans. At the opening in spring 2026, eleven kilometers of trails and lines will be available in all difficulty levels from blue to black (analogous to the ski slopes swivel levels) and the Riders Playground for beginners and children. In two further expansion stages, the bike park will be expanded to a total of 15 kilometers of trails and lines by spring 2028.
