öGIG is entering the next phase of corporate development and strengthening its management team with Alfred Pufitsch as CEO

- The experienced Telekom manager Alfred Pufitsch will be the new öGIG managing director and will take over the marketing and sales agenda
- Christian Nemeth, Chief Commercial Officer since 2021, will move to the energy industry on September 1, 2024
- Hartwig Tauber (focus on investments, regulation and funding), Oliver Steiner (investment and finance) and Helmut Lehermayr (technology) complete the öGIG management board
The Austrian Fiber Optic Infrastructure Company (öGIG) is strengthening its management team. On July 15, 2024, Alfred Pufitsch will take over the management of the company as CEO and will also be responsible for the marketing and sales department.
With Alfred Pufitsch, an experienced Telekom manager was recruited as managing director who will continue to set the company on a strong growth path. He has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology industry and has helped shape companies such as Oracle, Ericsson, Bull IT, Colt Telekom and Tele2 in various management and executive positions. Most recently, Alfred Pufitsch was CEO of the telecommunications infrastructure service provider Circet Deutschland and later worked as a senior advisor for international infrastructure investors and consulting companies. In his new position at öGIG, he and his management colleagues will be responsible for the company’s strategic direction and operational management and will drive the further expansion of the fiber optic infrastructure in Austria.
Owner representative Christoph Holzer, Managing Director at Allianz Capital Partners (ACP), is pleased with the appointment of the new CEO: “With Alfred Pufitsch we are gaining a proven telecommunications expert and experienced manager for the company. His experience and leadership skills will make a decisive contribution to further promoting öGIG’s growth path as the leading provider of fiber optic infrastructure in Austria and to strengthening sales via our ISPs.”

The previous members of the management board, Hartwig Tauber, Oliver Steiner and Helmut Lehermayr, together with Alfred Pufitsch, form the new management board of öGIG. Christian Nemeth, Chief Commercial Officer since 2021, is leaving the company and moving to the energy industry on September 1, 2024.
