Faster and easier orders around the clock thanks to the new digital solution
Tyrol/Zams (OTS) – As an innovation leader in wholesale, Eurogast Austria relies on generative artificial intelligence to revolutionize and significantly simplify the ordering process for customers. With the new Best.Friend Voice service, catering customers can place their orders using voice recognition around the clock. The AI recognizes the desired products, compares them with the Eurogast range of over 40,000 items and uses the customer’s purchasing history. The system then creates a customized order with the preferred products. This eliminates the need for time-consuming searches. This service will soon be integrated into the existing Eurogast Best.Friend app and available via voice assistants such as Alexa and Siri. In the future, language barriers will also be overcome through automatic translations.
Peter Krug, Managing Director of Eurogast Austria, emphasizes the uniqueness of this innovation: “With AI-generated orders, we are pioneers in the DACH region. In the future, our customers will be able to place their orders in all languages around the clock, even outside of business hours. The artificial intelligence selects your preferred products, which simplifies the ordering process and saves time.”
Eurogast Austria has been focusing on practical digital solutions for some time. The specially developed Best.Friend app, the Best.Friend PRO device and the Eurogast web shops are among the best solutions in the industry. Eurogast currently generates more than 75 percent of its sales in the top tourist regions via innovative e-commerce platforms. This service is now being expanded with Best.Friend Voice. “Due to this successful development, we will continue to advance digitalization in the next few years using the latest AI technologies,” explains Peter Krug.
Best.Friend Voice was also the topic of the expert talk at the opening ceremony of the new Eurogast Austria headquarters in Zams/Tyrol. Specialist journalist Jan-Peter Wulf, Josef Braunhofer, managing director of Berglandmilch, Michael Ploner, four-toque chef “S’Kammerli”, Hubert Siller from the Management Center Innsbruck and the digital expert Harald Radi discussed the question “How to bridge the gap between digital innovation and traditional values?”. All speakers agreed: The digitalization of kitchens is progressing at a rapid pace.
