The 1st Advent falls on December 1st this year. The word Advent comes from the Latin adventus, arrival. The four weeks of prescribed contemplation are intended to symbolize the 4,000 years that humanity had to wait for the arrival of the Savior. What are three years of earthly chaos in such historical dimensions?
