The program is supported by leading actors in the IT industry, including the international technology company softswiss.
The Polish startup accelerator Axios organized its final in Berlin, in which 21 founding teams presented their jury projects. The innovations presented ranged from AI-based solutions for pet care to health apps for people with insulin resistance.
Axios received 52 applications for his first cohort and closed the registration deadline early due to the high demand. The winner startup, MEEALTHY, is a AI assistant that offers personalized nutritional and wellness recommendations for women. Habbyapp took second place, a playful platform for promoting healthy habits in children. H&H Travel, an intelligent travel planning assistant, secured third place.
Under the direction of Sergey Krasakovich, program manager at Axios, and Galina Drozd, CEO, the program combined online learning with face-to-face events. “One of our greatest successes is that a third of the startups have reconsidered their ideas after thorough tests and the feedback from the mentors. For us, this is a central indicator of the effectiveness of the accelerator, “says Krasakovich.” We believe that individual support strengthens the offers of the teams and better prepared them for the market entry. “
Many of the projects were founded by migrants and show how diverse experiences and specialist knowledge enrich the European innovation ecosystem. The accelerator supported these entrepreneurs to further develop their concepts and to contribute to the economy of their host countries.
The final jury consisted of experts and experts in investments, technology and management, including IVAN Montik, founder of softswiss, one of the leading international IT companies with activities in Europe and beyond.
“I have enthusiastically accepted the invitation to join the Axios Accelerator’s jury because I consider such initiatives to be decisive for social and economic development,” says Ivan Montik. “As an entrepreneur and investor, I understand the importance of support in this Early phase of your projects.
Despite the strong economy, the founding activity (TEA) in Europe remains behind regions such as North and South America. While the Baltic States, which are the United Kingdom and Portugal in Europe, Germany and Poland show places 14 and 20 (Statista, 2024) in the Tea ranking. One of the main reasons for this is the European social system, which often makes traditional jobs more attractive than entrepreneurship.
However, the integration of migrants into the startup ecosystem could be a crucial success factor. Instead of competing with locals to compete with existing jobs, migrant founders create new employment opportunities.
