Strasbourg (OTS) – With the launch of the new platform in the USA in February, ARTE also took a pioneering step and made three specially created apps available for Apple Vision Pro. At the OMR Festival 2024 on May 7th and 8th in Hamburg, ARTE will provide insights into the creation process of the three apps for the first time.
A groundbreaking media experience of ARTE content
The Vision Pro, Apple’s first spatial computer, is controlled with your eyes, hands and voice. Using this intuitive control panel, the ARTE content in the ARTE.TV app, including award-winning films and series, award-winning documentaries, reports and concerts, can be accessed and experienced in a fascinating, immersive environment.
Two other apps are dedicated to immersive storytelling and expanding the boundaries of the young genre: the love story “Gloomy Eyes” (ARTE France, Atlas V, 3DAR and RYOT, English voice: Colin Farrell) and “BattleScar” (ARTE France, Atlas V and RYOT, English voice: Rosario Dawson), a coming of age story and fast-paced journey through the New York punk underworld.
ARTE relies on innovation
ARTE has been at the forefront of innovation for more than 20 years and has gained years of experience with augmented and virtual reality content and developed award-winning video games as part of its digital production strategy. Back in 2002, ARTE created digital audio content with ARTE Radio, which later became widely known as podcasts. In 2013, ARTE co-produced its first video games. The games catalog now includes 17 co-productions. In 2014, the European broadcaster began releasing innovative, immersive, genre-defining and thrilling productions such as “Polar Sea 360” and “Notes On Blindness”.
With the impressive possibilities of the Apple Vision Pro, ARTE is continuing its long-standing innovation strategy of providing optimized apps for Apple products and thus offering users the best possible experience of its content.
