The Austrian Cancer Aid Vienna – one of the nine national cancer aid organizations – is a non-profit organization financed by donations and bearer of the donation quality seal. “For more than 30 years, we have made it our mission to support Viennese patients with cancer in this demanding life situation and also to inform healthy people about the meaning and possibilities of cancer prevention and early detection,” says Dr. Ursula Denison, new president of Cancer Aid Vienna.
New board member at the Austrian Cancer Aid Vienna
A new multi-professional board was elected at the general meeting of Cancer Aid Vienna. The committee consists of:

New management from November 1st, 2024
Mag.a Eva KERNBEd MEd was appointed as the new managing director of the Austrian Cancer Aid Vienna on November 1, 2024, replacing Ms. Mag.a Schubert-Sonnbichler after 27 years of working at the Austrian Cancer Aid Vienna. Cancer Aid Vienna would like to thank Ms. Mag. a Schubert-Sonnbichler for her commitment over the last 27 years and wishes her a well-deserved and healthy retirement with all our hearts.
Eva Kern, business economist, educator and mediator, has experience in managing NGOs and is looking forward to being able to use her strength to help people with cancer in the future. “We are pleased to have gained Ms. Kern as our new managing director. We are sure that Ms. Kern will implement the association’s agenda with a lot of expertise and commitment,” said President Dr. Ursula Denison. “We, the new management team and the employees of the Austrian Cancer Aid Vienna, will maintain and subsequently expand the offer.”
