A heartwarming children’s book about mindfulness and friendship

In the first volume of the new book series “Fly Lotte” we accompany the curious housefly Lotte on an unexpected adventure. Through a small moment of carelessness, Lotte suddenly finds herself in India. There she meets the charming cricket Ramesh, who supports Lotte on her way and leads her to the healer with the three eyes. These encounters lead Lotte on a journey to mindfulness and ultimately to her calling: she becomes a yoga teacher for insect children.

„With our children’s book we want to inspire young readers to develop their imagination and discover the diversity of our world in a playful way. The loving illustrations by Cornelia Heinzel-Lichtwark bring Lotte’s adventures to life and take the children into a colorful world full of small and large discoveries. At the same time, we promote children’s language development and reading skills“, say the authors Verena S. Bertram-Kern and Corina M. Lessiak-Collé. Readings and workshops bring the story to life with music, hand puppets and theater elements. Bookings and inquiries can be made via the inquiry note.

The children’s book will be available at the Vienna Book Fair from November 20th, 2024 to November 24th, 2024 at the book publisher Buchschmiede.

About the authors

Corina Maria Masita “Momo” Lessiak-Collé was born in Kenya and has traveled the world as a flight attendant. Today she is an elementary school teacher and children’s yoga teacher and lives in Klosterneuburg. As a mother of two sons, she is currently training to become a qualified life and social counselor.

Verena Sol Bertram-Kern, born in Vienna with Scandinavian roots, is an elementary school and children’s yoga teacher. She completed a master’s degree in “Mindfulness in Education, Counseling and Healthcare”. As a happy mother of one daughter, she lives with her family in Lower Austria.
