Clear the way for clean hiking adventure trips

Jordan – On the Jordan Trail from Wadi Dana to Petra

Many travelers consider Jordan to be “Arabia for beginners”. But the country is currently suffering from the consequences of the Israel-Palestine conflict. Attractions such as the otherwise popular rock city of Petra are currently almost deserted – an opportunity for everyone who comes to the country now to get to know its diversity and hospitality.

Worldwide hiking partner Tareq took part in “Global Clean-Up Month” and organized a large-scale waste collection campaign at Aijoun.

World hiking guests visit the ancient city in the north of the country, for example, on the 3rd day of the hiking adventure trip “Jordan Trail, Petra and Red Sea“. The hike through the protected “Aijoun Forest Reserve” is a small “warm-up” for the other tours that follow on the next few days of the 15-day adventure trip.

The 73-kilometer-long Jordan Trail takes you in several stages from Wadi Dana to the ruined city of Petra, including red rocks, barren steppes and stony desert. After the hiking days, the refreshing, crowning conclusion of the Jordan trip awaits the small group – a swim in the Red Sea.

Travel price and booking: 15-day hiking adventure trip “Jordan Trail, Petra and Red Sea“ in Jordan, date e.g. November 15th to 29th, 2023, can be booked directly with the organizer from 3,790 euros per person including flights. The CO2 compensation for flights is included in the travel price.

Discover Albania’s diverse south – with a local guide

For them it was only natural to take part in the global waste collection campaign. They collected rubbish on a hiking trail near Tirana.

If you would like to get to know the diversity of Albania in the company of local guides, the tour operator recommends the varied 12-day hiking adventure trip “Treasures of the South“. Sometimes it’s hiking through scenic national parks, sometimes it’s comfortable along the Albanian Riviera. Of course, visiting historical cities and UNESCO World Heritage sites is a must in Albania.

Give me five: Island hopping in the Azores

Hardly any other archipelago in Europe leaves as many impressions as the Azores. The interplay of lush green meadows and impressive remnants of past volcanic eruptions is nowhere like this. Global hiking partner and local guide Oliver has also fallen in love with the green Atlantic archipelago and has called the Azores his home for more than ten years. Of course, he is also committed to preserving the unique island landscape and enthusiastically took part in the clean-up campaign. Oliver quickly motivated his global hiking tour group for the campaign: together they cleaned a section of coast in the north of the island of São Miguel, one of the Azores islands, which the guests visited during their hiking adventure trip.Oliver’s Azoresactively explore. “We were thrilled by the islands of the Azores.
