Opening of the 15th GENUSS FESTIVAL – 10-12. May in the Vienna City Park, admission free – over 100 AMA GENUSS REGION businesses present their delicacies
Vienna (OTS) – It’s finally that time again, the GENUSS-FESTIVAL 2024 opens its doors! “I’ve been looking forward to this culinary highlight all year long. The special thing about this event is not just the variety of delicacies, but the atmosphere in Vienna’s city park. From Friday to Sunday you can taste regional specialties and exchange ideas directly with the masters of the craft. Come by and enjoy the best of our regions!”, says Agriculture Minister Norbert Totschnig at the opening of the 15th GENUSS FESTIVAL – the largest culinary event in Vienna’s city park.
This year too, the exhibitors are exclusively companies with the AMA GENUSS REGION seal of quality.
“High-quality food is produced with a lot of passion from the Tyrolean Alps to the Burgenland vines. Every bite reflects the hard work of our farmers, who produce a wide variety of delicacies with passion, dedication and commitment. Austrian production is not just a delight for the palate, but an ode to tradition, quality and the incomparable cultural landscape. As Minister of Agriculture, it is particularly important to me to consolidate Austria as a culinary nation and to increase society’s awareness of this. The GENUSS FESTIVAL is predestined for this,” affirms Deadly.
“The annual DELIGHT FESTIVAL in Vienna is an ideal opportunity for our domestic and foreign guests to discover Austria’s popular culinary offerings from Lake Constance to Lake Neusiedl. It is the variety and quality of the regional food, which is often traditionally produced and perfectly presented, that continues to delight our guests. With the GENUSS FESTIVAL we are also strengthening Vienna’s image as a gastronomy and gourmet location that contributes significantly to tourism added value,” says Tourism State Secretary Susanne Kraus-Winkler.
“The entire family gets their money’s worth at the GENUSS-FESTIVAL. There are exciting things to experience at the various experience stations – children and adults can try out for themselves how the regional delicacies are made. Guests can try various specialties from the producers and catering establishments directly on site or take them home with them. “In a unique setting, you can find out how high-quality food is created and the people behind it,” says AMA Marketing Managing Director Christina Mutenthaler-Sipek at the start of the festival.
