Vienna (OTS) – Under the motto “How Technology can save the world” took place for the first time on Tuesday, April 30th in the Vienna Museumsquartier.Vienna Tech for Green“ instead of. Darwin’s Circle’s new special platform is dedicated to Green Technologies and the use of technology to achieve the sustainability goals of the economy and society.
More than 150 personalities from business, research, politics and administration discussed the major challenges facing our society, especially in the areas of carbon reduction and climate protection, and what role technology can play in achieving the associated global goals.
Together with the main partner of the conference and co-organizer Huawei, the central importance of international cooperation in the areas of climate protection, research and sustainability was discussed with the participation of sustainability managers from large companies such as Lufthansa and Deutsche Telekom as well as prominent representatives of administration and science.

The 22 speakers at the conference included: Erin Beilharz (Head of ESG for IT, Lufthansa Group), Kilian Kaminski (Founder & COO, Refurbed), Radoslaw Kedzia (SVP of Huawei European Region), Dr. Roland Mechtler (Board Director for Efficiency, Technology and Treasury, Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien), Ana Paula Nishio de Sousa (Chief, Digital Transformation and AI Strategies UNIDO), Andreas Rudas (Arthur D. Little President & Chairman RTR), Anja Tretbar Bustorf ( SVP Corporate Affairs & Head of ESG Magenta Telekom).
A new edition of the special conference “Vienna Tech for Green” is planned for 2025. The next big Darwin’s Circle will take place on November 21, 2024 in Vienna.
