Linz (OTS) – Koje 21 at Südbahnhofmarkt is a traditional location for a butcher shop. Two partners have now been found who will continue this tradition from Tuesday, April 30th: The KaufmannGroup and the Mühlviertler master butcher Josef Fischelmaier from Pabneukirchen. This partnership, “Der Marktfleischer”, brings an innovative third-generation Mühlviertler craft butcher business to Linz that cultivates and lives its love for butcher culture. “I welcome the fact that the Südbahnhofmarkt, as an important local supplier and fresh supplier for the population of Linz, has received an attractive addition with the “Marktfleischer”,” emphasizes market officer, city councilor Doris Lang-Mayerhofer.
“I am very pleased to have found an authentic, equal partner in Josef Fischelmaier to implement the Südbahnhofmarkt project. Josef is passionate about his hand-picked products – that’s exactly what customers at Südbahnhofmarkt need and expect. As successors to master butcher Lackinger, we are following in big footsteps. With the joint cooperation, ‘Der Marktfleischer’, I am convinced that we can fill this gap and impress our guests with our quality,” says Philipp Kaufmann, founder of the KaufmannGroup.
Master butcher Josef Fischelmaier and project manager Julian Eigl will immerse themselves in the local market atmosphere and give customers the best possible personal advice. The “Marktfleischer” have come up with something very special for their guests: the “Linzer Wurst”. It is inspired by the Linzer Torte: crunchy to the bite, slightly sweet with cranberries and crunchy. “The Linzer Wurst is a really successful creation by our master butcher,” says Eigl and adds: “We are sure that it will quickly be popular with our guests.” In addition to this signature dish, “Der Marktfleischer” offers a large selection of meat products. and sausage specialties, as Fischelmaier explains: “Our repertoire ranges from juicy beef to tender lamb, bacon and various sausage products to self-made goulash or beuschel, which you just need to heat up at home. Personally, I’m very happy that it’s actually getting started. The Südbahnhof market is very exciting for us because it has great prestige and regionality and personal advice are actually still alive here. I am very proud to be able to bring my products closer to Linzern and Südbahnhofmarkt visitors.”
