Vienna (OTS) – The spotlight is once again on the diverse Austrian music scene! This year, the “Amadeus Austrian Music Awards” will be presented to the greats and newcomers of the Austrian music scene for the 24th time. FM4 presenter Nina Hochrainer and Ö3 presenter Philipp Hansa will present the award ceremony from the Vienna Volkstheater on Friday, April 26, 2024, live with a time delay from 10:55 p.m. on ORF 1, which will once again put the local musical diversity in the spotlight. Melissa Naschenweng, Chris Steger, Cari Cari, Bipolar Feminin, AVEC, Jacob Elias, NNOA, Anna-Sophie, CHRISTL, Spilif, DONNA SAVAGE, Hidden Gemz, YUGO, Baits, Dives and Crispies provide varied live performances. Hitradio Ö3 and Radio FM4 are also on board again as partners at the “Amadeus Austrian Music Awards 2024”. With the “Song of the Year” (Ö3) and the “FM4 Award”, they present two of the 13 categories and also provide a program around the award ceremony.
The “Amadeus Austrian Music Awards 2024” can be seen on Friday evening after “The Big Chance – Let’s Sing and Dance” – live with a time delay from 10:55 p.m. on ORF 1 – and will be streamed live on ORF ON and the ORF TVthek and made available as video-on-demand for 30 days after TV broadcast.
The “Amadeus Austrian Music Awards” on Ö3 and FM4
Hitradio Ö3, as a long-standing partner, is once again presenting the premier class at the “Amadeus Austrian Music Awards” – the “Ö3 Song of the Year”. This year, for the first time, the Ö3 listeners selected the final five nominees from a preselection of 15 songs: “At Nobody Else” by Wanda, “Fix net normal” by AUT of ORDA, “I belong repaired” by Josh., “ Insanity” by Anna-Sophie and “Situationship” by Jacob Elias. The Ö3 community chose the winning song from these five nominees via voting on the Ö3 homepage. Whoever won the Amadeus in the “Ö3 Song of the Year” category will be announced at the Amadeus Gala. The FM4 listeners have decided: The “FM4 Award” in 2024 will go to Bipolar Feminin. These are the siblings Leni (singer, guitar) and Max Ulrich (bass) as well as Jakob Brejcha (guitar) and Samuel Reisenbichler (drums). With their debut album “A Fragile System” and their rousing live shows, Bipolar Feminin were one of the indie bands of last year. They deliver razor-sharp words and a musical cosmos that always has something to do with guitars and usually a little something to do with punk.
