SPÖ Vienna state party conference (4): Vienna board elected with great approval

Vienna board received great approval from the delegates

Vienna (OTS/SPW) With great approval from the delegates, the Vienna State Party Executive Board was elected at the Vienna State Party Conference. Together we will continue to follow the successful Viennese path in Vienna in the future and conduct politics with responsibility.

“This special Vienna state party conference is characterized by unity and solidarity. I am happy to have such a strong team at my side. The results show that we are going into the coming elections as one and I am convinced that we will cope well with the ongoing Chamber of Labor elections, the European Parliament elections and the National Council elections for the benefit of the people in our city, our country and Europe . We are a strong movement, we can rely on each other – that applies to the SPÖ Vienna and that applies to the support of the European parliamentary group and the federal party,” said Mayor Dr. Michael Ludwig is pleased with the election results.

The state party secretary of the SPÖ Vienna, Barbara Novak, MA, was also satisfied with the election results: “Together with our state party chairman, Mayor Dr. With Michael Ludwig and his team, we are ideally prepared for the challenges of the future and will work decisively and goal-oriented on solutions for the people of Vienna. We are excellently positioned to meet the current challenges in the upcoming elections!”

Nina Abrahamczik, Saya Ahmad, Jörg Neumayer and Barbara Teiber were newly elected to the board. “Strong integration of the districts and the union is important to us in the Viennese social democracy. We are therefore very pleased that we were able to win Saya Ahmad, a district leader, and Nina Abrahamczik and Jörg Neumayer, two district party leaders for the Vienna board. Barbara Teiber, who is running for the Vienna SPÖ in the upcoming National Council election, will also join the Vienna board. A strong solidarity between social democracy and the trade union is particularly important in view of the attacks on the rights of employees,” said Ludwig to the newly elected board members.

The mayor and the SPÖ Vienna state party secretary thanked the resigned board members Marcus Arige, Petra Bayr, Andrea Kuntzl and Gabriele Mörk. “I would like to thank everyone who has represented the interests of the SPÖ Vienna on the Vienna board for years and who will contribute their expertise to other areas of our movement in the future,” emphasized Ludwig.
