From challenges to opportunities: Environmental and climate policy in focus at the Green Party’s “Sit us together” discussion evening

Vienna (OTS) After an inspiring 15th evening of discussions “Sit us together”, the Green Parliament Club draws a positive conclusion. Club chairman Sigi Maurer, National Council members Faika El-Nagashi, Eva Blimlinger, Sibylle Hamann, Lukas Hammer, Markus Koza, Georg Bürstmayr and committed citizens from Vienna and the surrounding area came together to discuss the most pressing issues of our time.

“The climate crisis is not waiting for us. We must act now and find solutions together that will benefit us all. We are facing great challenges, but also great opportunities. It is time to take advantage of these opportunities,” emphasized Sigi Maurer. Their words reflect the commitment and determination with which the Green Parliamentary Club is facing the challenges of environmental and climate policy.

Citizens contributed their perspectives and ideas. “We need a policy that leaves no one behind and supports those who have it more difficult. Sustainable politics must be inclusive and hear all voices,” said a young participant.

Another citizen emphasized the importance of solidarity: “It is time for us all to stand together and fight for a fairer and more sustainable future,” a statement that underlines the need for collective action and social justice.
