500 racing cyclists from twelve nations are expected at the ARBÖ Carinthia cycling marathon on June 2nd – the NOCKBIKE MTB Trophy for mountain bikers and e-bikers will be held in advance
Bad Kleinkirchheim, Feld am See, Nockberge (OTS) – The joy increases: The ARBÖ Kärnten cycling marathon starts its twelfth season on June 2nd in Bad Kleinkirchheim. The central message of the sporting event is: Enjoy together! This makes the popular team competition even more attractive in order to highlight the spirit of togetherness in sport. The team competition is about covering a lot of kilometers together. If the mileage is the same, the team that has the oldest member in its ranks is ahead. Norbert Unterköflerchairman of the Feld am See cycling club as organizer: “This competition is the perfect opportunity for team building activities, especially for companies.
” The ORF campaign “Light into the Dark” is supported with three euros per team competition participant.
The cycling marathon, which is known far beyond the borders, also continues in… Scoring mode on the enjoyment factor to avoid the stress of racing and ensure more safety. “The timing only runs on the three climbs, which ensures increased safety for all bikers

The rush for the 500 starting places is record-breaking this year. Almost 400 bikers from twelve nations have already registered. What makes the ARBÖ Carinthia Cycling Marathon so popular and unique is its route. On the total 106 kilometers one of the most beautiful and panoramic roads in Austria is cycled: the Nockalmstraße.
NOCKBIKE MTB Trophy
In the run-up to the ARBÖ Carinthia cycling marathon on The NOCKBIKE MTB Trophy took place on June 1st. The bike day begins at the church square in Feld am See from 11:00 a.m. with music, a colorful supporting program and distribution of starting numbers. The race starts at 1:00 p.m.
The 20 kilometer long Pleasure racing leads on natural trails from Feld am See up to the Feldpannalm and further towards the Maibrunnhütte, where downhill fun on Europe’s longest flow country trail becomes a highlight. The winners will be celebrated in the finish area at the Kaiserburg valley station in Bad Kleinkirchheim from 4 p.m. It is not the fastest who are happy about “medals”, but rather those who come closest to the calculated average when measuring time. Excitement until the very end is guaranteed.
Young racing format for all cycling fans
The NOCKBIKE MTB Trophy celebrated its premiere in 2023. The still very “young” racing format was pleased with the successful start with almost 100 starters. Here too, the organizers rely on the team building factor. Hannes Nindler, Co-organizer of the NOCKBIKE MTB Trophy: “This year there is a “treat” for all teams of three, because the third person travels for free. Regardless of whether you are an e-biker or a passionate racing athlete – everyone is welcome.
There are also valuable prizes and even bike holidays to be won.”
One entry fee – two races
All starters at the ARBÖ Kärnten cycling marathon have a free starting place in the NOCKBIKE MTB Trophy. “Two different racing formats work together – that also strengthens the team spirit,” says Hannes Nindler. Bikers can look forward to a varied weekend around Bad Kleinkirchheim and Feld am See. And thanks to the two competitions with a supporting program, these will be Race days also for amateur athletes and families for enjoyment.

Route A: 106 kilometers, 2050 meters altitude (Bad Kleinkirchheim via the Nockalmstraße to Innerkrems, further on the Katschberg federal highway to Seeboden and along the Millstätter See on the Millstätter federal highway back to Bad Kleinkirchheim)
Route B (mountain classification): 50 kilometers, 1092 meters altitude (Bad Kleinkirchheim via the Nockalmstraße to the Schiestelscharte and back to Bad Kleinkirchheim)
