New EAG portal makes it easier to start the 2024 funding year

Project submission before the call is possible for large systems – zero tax rate replaces funding for small systems

Vienna/Bregenz (OTS) On Monday, April 15, 2024, the first EAG funding call will start this year for investment grants for large photovoltaic systems with a peak output of 35 kWp or more or for business systems. The funding is aimed primarily at companies; the zero tax rate replaces the funding for private individuals. From 5 p.m. you can get your ticket as usual and secure your place in the order in which the funding is awarded.

Small systems with a peak output of up to 35 kWp on buildings with certain uses, such as residential use, benefit from a zero tax rate when it comes to sales tax. The zero tax replaces the EAG subsidy, especially for households. This means that for a large proportion of private system builders no application at all more necessary, says Climate Protection Minister Leonore Gewessler happily:

We see people want to be part of the energy transition. The expansion of photovoltaics is progressing faster than ever before. We support the construction of smaller systems quickly and easily with sales tax exemption; for larger systems you can now apply for funding again as usual. In this way we protect the climate and make ourselves independent of expensive energy imports.

OeMAG has developed a new portal for system operators who want to operate a larger system (from 35 kWp peak output) or a commercial system and therefore take part in the EAG funding call. Here, funding applicants can create their project before the call.

With its user-friendly interface and comprehensive project creation guide, it offers a simple and efficient way for private individuals, companies and organizations to apply for funding to implement sustainable energy projects.

Innovations at a glance

1. flexibility: Natural and legal persons can create and plan their projects in the EAG portal before a funding call is opened.

2. Ticket drawing system: To ensure fair access to funding, users can draw tickets on the first day of the funding call to secure a place in the queue to submit an application.

3. Easy submission: After a successful ticket draw, users can submit their projects via the EAG portal from the next day and apply for funding.

4. Transparent processes: The EAG portal offers transparency throughout the entire application process and informs users about the current status of their application.

With the launch of the EAG portal, we are sending a strong signal for the expansion of renewable energies and the promotion of sustainable projects, emphasize the two OeMAG board members Horst Brandlmaier and Gerhard Röthlin:

The EAG portal is a milestone on the path to a sustainable energy future. It offers an efficient platform for applying for funding and supports the implementation of renewable energy projects.Horst Brandlmaier, CEO of OeMAG.

We firmly believe that everyone can make a contribution to climate protection. The EAG portal makes it easier than ever to apply for funding for environmentally friendly energy projects and shape the future of our environment.Gerhard Röthlin, CEO of OeMAG.

The OeMAG board members invite everyone interested to use the EAG portal today and make a contribution to the energy transition.
