Wiener Stadtwerke General Director Peter Weinelt and Deputy Director Monika Unterholzner are pleased with the selection of the “top manager who will consistently further develop Vienna’s mobility”
Vienna (OTS) – Wiener Stadtwerke is extending Alexandra Reinagl’s contract as CEO of Wiener Linien by five years. She remains responsible for operations, sales and corporate communications. “We are very pleased that we can ensure continuity in the management of Wiener Linien with Alexandra Reinagl
“, said General Director Peter Weinelt and the deputy responsible for mobility, Monika Unterholzner, on Wednesday.
„We face major challenges in the mobility sector in order to achieve the climate change. Reinagl is exactly the right manager for this task
“said Weinelt about the reappointment. Unterholzner adds: “I am convinced that Alexandra Reinagl, as CEO of Wiener Linien, will consistently further develop mobility in Vienna. Reinagl demonstrated in the selection process that she is a top manager who will set the decisive course for future mobility.
“
Alexandra Reinagl has been CEO since November 2022. The qualified lawyer came to Wiener Linien after various positions in the city administration – where, among other things, she was responsible for the financing of public transport in Vienna – and her work as managing director of the Eastern Region Transport Association (VOR). Here she was the first female member of the management team in 2011. Since 2022, Wiener Linien has had an all-female management team with Reinagl and her two deputies Petra Hums and Gudrun Senk. Alexandra Reinagl’s new contract runs on September 1, 2024.
Reinagl’s vision is the mobile freedom of the Viennese. In order to position Wiener Linien as a comprehensive mobility provider, it launched the WienMobil brand. With this concept, Reinagl has also succeeded in expanding the sharing offerings in Vienna. Her stated goal is to further advance the company’s customer orientation and to position Wiener Linien as an excellent employer. Expanding the proportion of women in the company – especially in the technical areas – is also very important to her.
