In the ORF night talk “Stöckl” on April 11th at 11:05 p.m. on ORF 2

Vienna (OTS) In the current edition of the ORF night talk “Stöckl” on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11:05 p.m. on ORF 2, tenor Michael Schade, actress Proschat Madani, songwriter Konstantin Wecker and world travelers Tanja Willers and Johanna Hochedlinger will be guests of Barbara Stöckl:

Music has been part of Michael Schade’s life since his childhood. A great opera career followed, and numerous engagements took Schade, who grew up in Germany and Canada, all over the world. The star tenor now lives with his family in his adopted home of Vienna and enjoys riding his e-bike to the next gig. From May 17th to 20th he will again be active in a dual role – as director and singer – at the International Baroque Days in Melk.

Actress Proschat Madani can be seen in local cinemas from April 19th with the film “What a Feeling”, co-financed by ORF as part of the film/television agreement. In the comedy directed by director Kat Rohrer, she falls in love with her film partner Caroline Peters. Madani grew up – like her character Fa in the film – between Austrian and Iranian cultures. She tells “Stöckl” what construction lion Richard Lugner has to do with her family’s history.

After an injury-related emergency stop in December, artist and songwriter Konstantin Wecker is back on stage with the “Songs of My Life” tour. He also stops off in Austria. In addition, his new album “The Soundtrack of My Life” will be released on May 31st, which showcases the numerous film music he has composed. In the night talk he talks about how life on tour has changed, whether film music is often underestimated as a musical genre and how he is doing as a politically alert observer in socially turbulent times.

Bicycle mechanic Tanja Willers and her partner, high school teacher Johanna Hochedlinger, have had an incredible journey. They spent 445 days cycling from South Africa – with stops in countries like Iran – to Vienna. With Barbara Stöckl, the two women talk about the resistance and obstacles, but also about the beauty of the countries they traveled to and the special adventures they experienced during their discoveries.
