Vienna (OTS) – The most famous Austrian late-night duo Stermann and Grissemann will meet in the 606th “Welcome Austria” episode on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 10 p.m. on ORF 1 – and from 8 p.m. on on.ORF.at and in the TVthek app – on the probably best-known German podcast duo Jan Böhmermann and Olli Schulz. Linguist Oksana Havryliv also teaches the men’s group how to swear correctly. Maschek puts new words into the mouths of Austrian politicians. And as the final number, chart-topper Anna-Sophie performs her “Amadeus Austrian Music Awards”-nominated song “Insanity”. At 11 p.m. the “Prater Stars” light up THE NIGHT when Hosea Ratschiller welcomes Magda Leeb, Elias Hirschl, Ina Jovanovic and the duo Christoph & Lollo to the stand-up stage of the Vienna Fluc. At 11.30 p.m. there will be a dacapo with “Good Night Austria”.
“Welcome Austria” with Stermann & Grissemann at 10 p.m
Anyone who says Olli Schulz must also say Jan Böhmermann. While the former has just released his sixth album “Vom Rand der Zeit”, the Grimme Prize-winning late night show “ZDF Magazin Royale”, hosted by Böhmermann, is the most successful satirical show in Germany. The two are known together from their award-winning chat podcast, formerly called “Gently & Carefully”, now “Fest & Fluschig”. Nobody knows exactly what connects musician Olli Schulz and TV host Jan Böhmermann – a bit like Stermann and Grissemann – but the meeting between the two duos promises a four-way date in a class of its own.
The linguist Oksana Havryliv has been studying swearing in all its forms since completing her doctorate 30 years ago. Most recently is her aptly titled book “Only a moron wouldn’t buy this book.” Really EVERYTHING about swearing, insulting, cursing and cursing” appeared. Today Havryliv teaches and researches as a linguist at the University of Vienna. The late night talk on Tuesday will show whether she can teach the “Welcome Austria” hosts something about swearing or whether the two of them will become the next research objects.
