It is thanks to him that the Salzburg Festival is where it belongs: at the top of the classical music world. I am very pleased that he has applied for another term of office and wish him all the best for it – also because the festival could very well need continuity in the artistic direction in view of the upcoming general renovation,” said Art and Culture State Secretary Andrea Mayer.
