ÖVP stocker on “Heiß Umfehdet”: “FPÖ has gone beyond the right-wing extremist fringe”

Lower Austrian governor Mikl-Leitner is mastering “difficult cooperation” with the FPÖ very well

Vienna (OTS) ÖVP General Secretary Christian Stocker warns on “Heiß Umfehdet” on PULS 24 about radical currents on the right and left fringes of society: “I would describe the KPÖ local councils in Salzburg as radically left-wing, because communism is radically left-wing. We linked extremism with the FPÖ because it has moved to the right-wing extremist fringe and beyond.“

The FPÖ has also “proven that it is not prepared to take responsibility for this country in difficult times” and it only wants to engage in “political change with polarization and division in society,” said Stocker.

“Difficult cooperation” with FPÖ in Lower Austria

The ÖVP in Lower Austria has been working with the FPÖ at the state level for a year, and ÖVP General Secretary Stocker sees this as generally positive: “I believe that the last year was quite a good one for the people of Lower Austria and that our state governor has this difficult collaboration also handles it very well and manages this government cooperation well.”

Also guests on “Heiß Umfehdet” today: ex-FPÖ politician Ursula Stenzel and the author and activist Veronika Bohrn Mena in a duel on the shift to the right and demonstrations against the right.
