The SPÖ and its party leader are moving further and further to the left
Vienna (OTS) – “Andreas Babler wants to punish hard-working people with stressful fantasies. With the absurd proposal of a state-controlled market modeled on China and the declaration that the ‘free radical market’ has failed, SPÖ party leader Babler wants to bring Austria ever closer to communist conditions. It fits into the picture that Babler uses a wealth and inheritance tax to punish all those who have achieved something and created something in their lives. In addition, these stressful fantasies cause massive damage to Austria as a business location. This can also be seen in the populist demand for a reduction in working hours, which is not only a threat to our economic location and our prosperity, but also to our welfare state,” said the general secretary of the People’s Party, Christian Stocker, in response to the statements of the SPÖ party leader Andreas Babler in the today’s ORF press hour.
“The party chairman is driving his party step by step further from the center to the left fringe,” continues Stocker, who concludes by emphasizing: “Once again it shows: the People’s Party is the only center party in Austria. Together with Chancellor Karl Nehammer, we will implement the Austria plan and make policy for the people at the heart of our society and ensure that our prosperity is maintained and the business location is maintained and strengthened.
