Vienna (OTS) – The KALK&KEGEL magazine is strengthening its editorial team with a top journalist: Lisi Brandlmaier, most recently editor-in-chief and head of digital at Falstaff, will now be chief culinary reporter at the up-and-coming magazine for “gastronomy, sommellerie and madness” – as KALK&KEGEL describes itself. “Food and drink are among the most sensitive topics of our time. We want and must accompany this with critical journalism that offers more than the ubiquitous happy-peppy stories.
For us, the focus is not on the brand, but on the journalistic story,” says KALK&KEGEL editor Michael Pöcheim-Pech.

Lisi Brandlmaier was born in Thalheim near Wels in 1989 and studied educational sciences, German, French and Italian at the University of Vienna. In 2011 she started her journalistic career at the Styria Media Group’s portal typicallyich.at. In 2013 she moved to VGN Medien Holding in the online editorial team of Woman magazine. In 2015, she took over the management of the gourmet department and then also the management of the lifestyle department for the print and online edition of Austria’s largest women’s magazine. In addition, she was involved in setting up Woman TV, developed her own cooking show and produced numerous shows with well-known chefs. From 2021 to the end of 2023 she was editor-in-chief and digital editor-in-chief (from 2022) at Falstaff, the largest magazine for culinary lifestyle.
