Successful start of the new edition of digi4Wirtschaft in Lower Austria

LH Mikl-Leitner/WKNÖ President Ecker: 30 projects with an investment volume of 1.5 million euros have already been submitted

St.Pölten (OTS) The new edition of the digi4Wirtschaft program has already triggered over 30 project submissions with an investment volume of around 1.5 million euros within the first few weeks. Since the beginning of March, the program has seen enormous interest, which underlines the high awareness among companies in Lower Austria of the opportunities offered by digitalization.

Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner emphasizes: “Our companies in Lower Austria are taking advantage of the opportunities offered by digitalization, as over 30 companies have already submitted their digitalization projects to digi4wirtschaft in the past few days. For example, the company Trikustik was able to increase its efficiency and product quality through the use of digital technologies improve and open up new markets. I ask all companies in Lower Austria to take advantage of the comprehensive digitalization funding and services provided by the state and the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce. We are making six million euros available for this this year.”

“The example of Trikustik shows very well how diverse the individual digitalization options of our companies are. With digi4Wirtschaft, Lower Austrian entrepreneurs have access to suitable funding that supports exactly those digitization steps that suit their own company. It is therefore very important to us to support this round of funding again,” emphasizes Wolfgang Ecker, President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

As part of the “digi4Wirtschaft” impulse program, the state of Lower Austria, in cooperation with the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, is offering companies the opportunity to receive financial support for their digitization projects for the fourth time. The main goal is to provide companies with comprehensive support in the digitalization of their business processes and to successfully deal with current developments in the area of digitalization.

An example of successful digitalization projects is the company Trikustik from Rapottenstein. Trikustik has made a name for itself as a leading manufacturer in the development of optimal room acoustics and only recently completed the project “Digitization of the entire value creation process for order-related special products”.

Trikustik managing director Martha Hag explains: “Our wooden acoustic panels are used in many different building projects throughout Central Europe – from schools and kindergartens to large projects such as the Wiener Stadthalle, the Bregenz Festival Hall or the European Parliament. In order to meet the needs of our customers and to continue to be able to offer very varied order-related production, we strive for consistent digital integration along the entire value creation process. By supporting the digi4Wirtschaft funding, we can significantly advance this digitalization in the company.”

In the last four years, around 1,800 projects received support totaling around 34 million euros from Lower Austria’s digitalization funding. As a result, Lower Austrian companies invested more than 68.5 million euros in the digitalization of Lower Austria as a business location. In 2024, a new budget of six million euros will be available.
