Graz (OTS) – It’s amazing what lies dormant in attics, garages and sheds. Every conceivable type of bike was represented again at the AK bicycle exchange on Friday and Saturday (March 15th and 16th, 2024) in Hall A of the Graz trade fair.
A top selection at the lowest price: Around 1,500 mountain bikes, e-bikes, city, racing and touring bikes, children’s and youth bikes, weapon bikes and many more were waiting at the 6th AK bike fair in the Graz trade fair hall A .
Delivery and sales
AK Steiermark brought together sellers and buyers of bicycles free of commission. On Friday (March 15th) working bikes could be handed in from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday (March 16) they were offered for sale to those interested from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The price was set by the sellers themselves. The crowds were already huge on Saturday morning; a total of around 5,000 visitors were expected on Saturday. After the end of the exchange, the proceeds will be paid out in cash to the sellers without any deductions. Sales proceeds and bikes that are not collected will be given to charitable organizations.
Fine supporting program
In addition to this service, the AK Steiermark offered an extensive supporting program: At the AK stand there was the opportunity for a health check, the ÖAMTC provided information about e-bikes and batteries. Tips on how to prevent bike theft came from the Graz police, and the ARGUS bike lobby was on site with bike registration. “Die Fahrbar” took care of your physical well-being. The ARBÖ came with a moped simulator and noise glasses.
Next stock exchange in Feldbach
Another AK bike exchange will take place next week – for the second time in Feldbach, in the asphalt halls at the Feldbach leisure center. Bike delivery is possible on March 22nd and the bikes can be purchased on March 23rd.
