Long-time Liesingen district councilor and father of the youth hostel organization has died
Vienna (OTS) – “It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Ing. Wolfgang Erhard. Born on September 15, 1941, the architect and enthusiastic district politician was involved in his home district of Liesing for 15 years, the last years of which as club chairman. My heartfelt condolences go out at this time his family,” said the district party chairman of the Vienna People’s Party Liesing, Patrick Gasselich.
“He will also be particularly remembered for his commitment to the youth hostel organization, of which he was state chairman for an incredible 50 years. In this role, among other things, he initiated the construction of the youth hostel on Myrthengasse and the student house on Neustiftgasse, which offer many young people a temporary home. He will always be remembered. My thoughts are with his relatives,” said the state party chairman of the Vienna People’s Party, city councilor Karl Mahrer.
