The “Soko Linz” is ready to begin service

The third season of the ORF/ZDF crime series with Stemberger and Gawlowski begins on March 12th on ORF 1 and from March 11th on ORF ON and in the TVthek app

Vienna (OTS) The Cops are back in town: The wait for the average 450,000 viewers of the second season (market share 16 percent) is over – the “Soko Linz” is every Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. from March 12, 2024 and at the start at 9:05 p.m on ORF 1 as well as 24 hours in advance on ORF ON and in the TVthek app. In the third season of the ORF/ZDF crime series, Katharina Stemberger, Daniel Gawlowski, Anna Hausburg, Alexander Pschill and Damyan Andreev as well as Miriam Hie, Paula Hainberger and, most recently, Lisa Schützenberger can expect proven tension, even more action and new whispers of love in 13 episodes. So there is a lot to do for the Austrian-German team at the Police Cooperation Center.

The investigations in and around Linz lead, among other places, to the Paneum, the Pöstlingbergbahn, the Mural Harbor Gallery and Bad Ischl. The female trio Claudia Jüptner-Jonstorff, Felicitas Korn and Kim Strobl are responsible for directing the third season of the ORF/ZDF crime series. The scripts come from Hubert and Anna Eckert, Harald Haller, Ralph Werner, Alrun Fichtenbauer, who also acts as head writer, Nicola Dörper, Mondo23 as well as Bastian Zach and Matthias Bauer.

At the start of the new episodes, after the death of a call center operator, the investigators find themselves in the milieu of grandchild fraudsters and are on the trail of a perpetrator based on the sound of his footsteps and his smell. More about the content of the opening episodes

“Under Shock” (Tuesday, March 12, 2024, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1 and Monday, March 11, 8:15 p.m., ORF ON and TVthek app)
With, among others, Nicole Beutler, Julia Cencig, Bettina Ratschew, Norman Hacker and Simon Morzé in episodic roles; Director: Claudia Jüptner-Jonstorff

Klaus Helland is found shot dead in an empty parking lot. Although initially no motives were found for the death of the call center operator, completely new perspectives arise when “Soko” investigates Helland’s involvement in the milieu of grandchild fraudsters. Did one of the victims of this scam kill Helland? But why did the wife disappear without a trace? A difficult case for “Soko Linz” – and soon a race against time.

“The Blind Witness” (Tuesday, March 12, 2024, 9:05 p.m., ORF 1 and Monday, March 11, 9:05 p.m., ORF ON and TVthek app)
With, among others, Mersiha Husagic, David Miesmer, Eva Mayer, Markus Hamele, Lukas Haas and Noah Calvin in episode roles; Director: Claudia JüptnerJonstorff

A young woman is pushed into the Danube at night and drowns. DJane Fran (Mersiha Husagic) witnesses the incident – but all the blind woman notices about the perpetrator is the sound of his footsteps and his smell. While searching for the perpetrator, Joe (Katharina Stemberger) and Ben (Daniel Gawlowski) come across traces of illegal wood imports from Romania. As the air becomes increasingly thin for the perpetrator, he wants to get the witness out of the way before she identifies him.

“Soko Linz” is a co-production between ORF and ZDF, produced by Gebhardt Productions with support from the state of Upper Austria.
