Graz (OTS) The “Chess Ladies Graz” will take place in the Palais Attems in Graz from February 25th to March 3rd, 2024, in memory of the top Austrian player Eva Moser. The international champion Eva Moser, whose death anniversary is 5 years old, is the best chess player in Austrian chess history. After graduating from school, the native of Carinthia moved to Graz, where she spent the rest of her life. Eva Moser was the only woman in Austrian chess history to become “Open” state champion and Eva was also very successful internationally.

The tournament is excellently lined up with five Austrian national players and five top international players, including Anastasia Bodnaruk, a reigning world champion, as well as two Olympic champions and a European champion. The local hero is the Graz psychology student Denise Trippold, Austria’s reigning state champion.
