Funtime on Friday on ORF 1: News from “Maschek”

Vienna (OTS) After the brilliant start of “Maschek” with 521,000 viewers in January, the second episode of the new ORF 1 format will be available on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 9:20 p.m. on ORF 1 as part of “Funtime am Freitag”. on the program. The second edition of “Maschek” once again promises a rapid journey through current events with the two vocal anarchos Peter Hörmanseder and Robert Schwanz – this time under the motto “The Wind Of Change”. Before that, at 8:15 p.m., the “Cabaret Summit” kicks off – with a hot topic: sustainability. A new edition of “What’s New?” at 10 p.m. will also ensure lasting laughter: Oliver Baier and his advice team are not only celebrating “Wine Drinking Day” but also “Open That Bottle Night”.

“Cabaret Summit” at 8:15 p.m

This cabaret summit has a topic that is more important than ever: “sustainability”. Also there: the Bavarian cabaret artist Martina Schwarzmann, the Swiss stand-up comedian Gabriel Vetter and the Austrian trio consisting of Klaus Eckel, Thomas Stipsits and Christoph Fritz.

“Maschek” at 9:20 p.m. – Episode 2

In the February issue of Maschek, the dubbing satirists Peter Hörmanseder and Robert Schwanz look back at the carnival, Johanna Mikl-Leitner’s 60th birthday and the sad anniversary of two years of war in Ukraine. How can Ukraine become part of the EU and what does this have to do with Minister Edtstadler’s social media addiction? Maschek know more about it and also about a great heroic epic in honor of our Chancellor Karl Nehammer. And as the icing on the cake, Hörmanseder and Schwanz also reveal to us the secret fetish of Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission President.

“What’s new?” at 10 p.m

This time the show is all about good wine. Oliver Baier and his advice team not only celebrate “Wine Drinking Day”, but also “Open That Bottle Night”. The guessing team consisting of Omar Sarsam, Caro Athanasiadis, David Scheid, Isabell Pannagl and Robert Palfrader don’t open a bottle, but right at the beginning of the show they have to think about what a “top wine” could be.
