“The big opportunity – Let’s sing and dance” – Austria shows what it can do on the big TV stage

New season of the ORF hit show from March 8th on ORF 1

Vienna (OTS) A country shows what it can do – clear the stage for “The big opportunity – let’s sing and dance”! From March 8, 2024, Fanny Stapf and Andi Knoll will welcome Austria’s best talents to their big opportunity on ORF 1 on Fridays at 8:15 p.m.: the country’s singers and dancers will show off their skills – whether in pop or opera, poetry slam or rap , rock, pop or folk music, hip hop or ballet, standard dance or contemporary, tap dance or folk dance. A prize of 50,000 euros awaits the winner in the final on May 17, 2024.

A changing, top-class jury of three decides who advances to the semi-final shows, where the audience then has a say in who moves on to the final. Included are Josh., Katharina Straßer, Bernhard Speer, Simone, Thorsteinn Einarsson, Missy May, Barbara Meier, Mark Seibert, Tina Naderer, Leona König, Cesár Sampson, Sasa Schwarzjirg, Maria Angelini-Santner and Marc Pircher.

“The big opportunity” – barrier-free and multimedia

Like previous ORF shows, “The Big Chance – Let’s Sing and Dance” will also be broadcast in a fully barrier-free manner on ORF 1:
ORF TELETEXT offers subtitles for deaf and hearing-impaired viewers on page 777 and all ten programs will also be available in an audio version for blind and visually impaired audiences. The emotions on the show stage can be experienced live by experienced audio commentators, even for people with visual impairments. Their job is to convey everything that remains hidden from their audience through acoustic image descriptions: such as the appearance of the costumes and the choreography of the dances, gestures, facial expressions and show effects. This live audio commentary can be heard on the second audio track, which can be set via the remote control.
