Vienna (OTS) – On the occasion of the Vienna Academic Ball and associated gatherings taking place on February 16, 2024 in the Vienna Hofburg, there will be a security police ban on seating in the inner-city area.
The regulation and the meetings reported so far will be announced separately.
Persons with a valid press card or an order/proof of journalistic activity confirmed by a medium can personally obtain accreditation for the ban on seating at the Vienna Police from Wednesday, February 14th, 2024 to Friday, February 16th, 2024 by presenting the above-mentioned documents and a photo ID 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Vienna 1., Vienna State Police Department, Schottenring 7-9, main entrance, 1st floor, room 114 and on February 16, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. in Vienna 1., Löwelstrasse height 2-4 (access to the ban on space) be exhibited.
The following requirements apply to accredited persons on the day of deployment:
The accreditation must be worn visibly on the body
Access is only via a lock at Löwelstrasse 2-4
Depending on the current operational situation, the exit from the ban can also take place at other locations. Guaranteed, however, always via a lock on Löwelstrasse
The police operation must not be hindered; instructions from police forces must be followed
Any harassment of ball visitors will result in loss of accreditation
If broadcast vans are to be set up in the area where parking is prohibited, the license plate number must be announced in good time. A separate accreditation must be requested for each person in the vehicle.
