Vienna (OTS) – Maria Mazzotta, one of the most sought-after voices in the world music scene, is stopping off in Vienna with her brand new live trio project: as part of the Italian series “Onde d’Italia”, the trio will perform on Monday, February 19th (7.30 p.m.). p.m.) a concert in the ORF RadioKulturhaus. Maria Mazzotta presents her new album, which she recorded together with guitarist Ernesto Nobili and percussionist Cristiano Della Monica, in the large broadcasting hall of the ORF RadioKulturhaus. In the new ensemble, post-rock textures meet the musical traditions and lively interpretation of Maria Mazzotta. Mazzotta’s repertoire is the result of meticulous research and is composed of various cultures, with particular attention to the vocal characteristics of each musical tradition. With the new album, the singer from Salento expresses the vital and raw power of “rural tradition” through contemporary, “suburban-looking instruments”.
