Walter Scherz becomes the new Chief Financial Officer of the Franke Group (PHOTO)

Aarburg (ots) Walter Scherz will be designated Chief Financial Officer of the Franke Group and a member of the Group Executive Board as of September 1, 2024. He succeeds Jürg Fischer, who will retire at the end of August 2024 after 19 years. Walter Scherz is a proven financial expert with many years of international management experience. He was previously CFO of the Datwyler Group.

As of September 1, 2024, Walter Scherz will take over responsibility for the finance department of the Franke Group from Jürg Fischer as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will therefore also be appointed to the Group Executive Board. After 19 years as CFO at Franke, Jürg Fischer will enter his well-deserved retirement at the end of August 2024.

Walter Scherz has around 20 years of experience in the financial sector and comes from the Dätwyler Group. The 46-year-old had been a member of the Group Executive Board since 2020 and headed the Finance & Shared Services group function as CFO. Before that, he worked at Datwyler for seven years in various management positions, including Vice President Corporate Development and Post Merger Integration in the Sealing Solutions division and Head of Internal Group Audit. He began his professional career at KPMG, where he worked as an external auditor and in other roles with international assignments. Walter Scherz holds a licentiate in economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and is a qualified auditor.
