At the carnival highlight from the Draustadt, fireworks are set off

On average, 697,000 people saw the punchlines of the Austrian carnival guilds with a market share of 28 percent. At 10:25 p.m., “Peter Rapp – As if it were Yesterday” was all about “80 Years of Peter Rapp” – an average of 394,000 viewers with a market share of 24 percent attended the show celebrating the entertainer’s anniversary.

Popular classics such as “Hofnarren” and “Die Intern” will once again present their pointed political slapstick, while “Heike à la Carte” and “Jungs 2024” will provide entertaining punch lines. Carnival legend Manfred Obernosterer returns in his well-known role as “Noste” and will ensure cheerful moments in the Lei-Lei program. Hannes Hörbiger, in his signature role as “Nachzipfer”, will meet “Jungzipfer” Joe Kohlhofer and together they will deliver snappy punch lines. Nathalie Karner-Tarmastin and Hans-Jörg Petrik, who will be back on stage after a break, will go through couples therapy on the chaos couch, while Arnold Angermann alias “The Fun Brakes” will act as a mirror of society for the second time functions. He will take a critical look at the media, politics and society. The ORF program “Starnacht” will be renamed “Sparnacht am Silbersee” during the Villach carnival and will ensure a cheerful conclusion to the Villach carnival 2024.

On Rose Monday, February 12th, at 11:50 a.m. on ORF 1, the little fools of the Draustadt will present a colorful program in “Mini Lei Lei 2024” at the 58th children’s carnival in the Congress Center Villach. “Mini Lei Lei 2024” can also be seen on demand on ORF KIDS at kids.ORF.at.

“The Steirerland in the Narreng’wand” will be shown on Shrove Tuesday at 1.20 p.m. during the live broadcast of the traditional Graz carnival parade, which is being celebrated for the 50th time this year. To mark this anniversary, the parade will take place on an extended route from the Graz Opera to the town hall. The motto this year is “Folscher 50s”.

The carnival is also coming to ORF III and will be showing six episodes of “Humor Knows No Limits” on February 12th from 1 p.m.: Felix Dvorak presents sketches from the archive, including Karl Farkas, Maxi Böhm, Ossy Kolmann and Otto Schenk. Starting at 8:15 p.m., a humorous three-part “ORF III Theme Monday” is on the program with “Homo Niavaranicus – The Best of the Last 55 Years,” “Niavarani’s Fasching Express” (9:05 p.m.) and a best of “VODKA ORANGE” (9:55 p.m.).
There will be even more Niavarani and things to laugh about on Carnival Tuesday, February 13th, from 1:40 p.m. with five editions of the stand-up comedy “Who Laughs Wins” and at 8:15 p.m. ORF III will start a long carnival night of Austro humor: With Alex Kristan’s “Highlights from the first three programs”, “Klaus Eckel – The Best Moments” (9.15 p.m.), “Best of Karl Farkas” (10.05 p.m.), the two-part program “Farkas, Waldbrunn & Co” (10.35 p.m. and 23.10 p.m.) with the most unforgettable moments of the legendary cabaret duo as well as top-class colleagues and finally three editions of “Best of Simpl” with “Balances from the Coffee House” (11:40 p.m.), “Balances of Love” (12:30 a.m.) and “Balances in Professional Life” (1:25 a.m.).
