Third medal, second gold for top police athlete Andexer

After gold and bronze at the Biathlon Junior European Championships, another gold medal in the mass start for Anna Andexer

Vienna (OTS) The 21-year-old top police athlete Anna Andexer from Saalfelden (Salzburg) grabbed the gold medal in the mass start after gold in the individual on February 11, 2024 and won a total of three medals at the Biathlon Junior European Championships with bronze in the sprint. This confirmed her position as favorite at the Biathlon Junior European Championships in Jakuszyce (Poland).

“I warmly congratulate Anna Andexer on her victories. Our top police athletes are a figurehead for the police and the Ministry of the Interior,” said Interior Minister Gerhard Karner about the young biathlete’s successes.

Andexer from Salzburg joined the Interior Ministry’s top sports squad on September 1, 2022 and is completing her basic police training at the BZS Graz. As the leader in the IBU Junior Cup, the top police athlete is currently the outstanding young biathlete.
