“Orientation” about the exhibition “Never Again War!” at KULTUM

On February 11th at 12.30 p.m. on ORF 2

Vienna (OTS) Sandra Szabo will present the following articles in the ORF religious magazine “Orientation” on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. on ORF 2:

Despite war: Jews and Muslims save lives together

The war in Gaza threatens the cohesion of Israeli society, in which the Arab Muslim minority makes up over a fifth of the population. The two communities take a radically opposite position in the current conflict. Nevertheless, they live and work together in everyday life, especially in the emergency services. There, Jews and Arabs save lives together in a war that Jews and Arabs are waging against each other. A report by Stéphane Amar and Sharon Aronovicz.

Making poverty visible: Marienstüberl Ball in Graz

There is dancing and chatting, just like at every ball event during the carnival season. However, a lot is different here: homeless people and people affected by poverty have come, as have celebrities and socially committed people. Respect and compassion resonate at this ball of humanity, and one goal is also to motivate people to donate. Zoran Dobrić reports on the Marienstüberl Ball, which took place for the 23rd time – organized by Caritas Steiermark.

“Never again war!” in KULTUM

Installations, object images and drawings by Zenita Komad are intended to encourage pause and reflection. The artist is concerned with understanding between people of different faiths, cultures and world views. “Never again war!” can be seen in the KULTUM, the cultural center of the Minorites in Graz. Sylvia Andrews visited the exhibition for “Orientation”. It is part of a peace triology that Zenita Komad is showing simultaneously in Styria, Carinthia and Burgenland.
