ÖAMTC: Traffic jam situation worsened during the morning

Remote pass blocked by demonstration

Vienna (OTS) According to ÖAMTC mobility information, the traffic jam situation on the way to the ski areas worsened over the course of the morning.

In Salzburg, the columns stood in front of the tunnel construction sites on the Tauern Autobahn (A10) heading south for 12 kilometers to Hallein – a loss of time of almost an hour and a half – while heading north they lost half an hour beforewerfen.

In Tyrol, a demonstration at the Fernpass worsened the traffic jam on the B179. The closure brought southbound traffic to a standstill along the entire route. German holidaymakers are currently about 3 kilometers behind when entering the border tunnel in Füssen. There are also delays at the Scharnitz (B177) and Achenpass (B181) border points, as well as in the Oetz and Zillertal valleys.

The ÖAMTC mobility information also recorded minor traffic disruptions in Vorarlberg in front of the A14 Montafon exit and in Styria in the Ennstal (B320).
