Hamburg (ots) It’s been almost two weeks since musician James Arthur appeared on stage with a large orchestra for the first time in his career. As part of Channel Aid – live in Concert by JBL, the charming Brit played a breathtaking show together with the Lufthansa Orchestra, conducted by Steven Lloyd-Gonzalez, in the Great Hall of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.

The concert was sold out within 11 minutes. 2,100 guests watched the special concert live on site. Another 90,000 viewers followed the musical spectacle on YouTube or TikTok via their smart TVs and smartphones.

“It was one of the most beautiful shows of my career. Up to now it has been a dream for me to perform with an orchestra. This dream has now come true and I am very grateful to Channel Aid for that.”

James Arthur presented a mixture of well-known songs (e.g. Say You Won’t Let Go – over 2.6 billion streams) as well as songs from his then unreleased album “Bitter Sweet Love”, which is now number 1 in the UK album charts stands. The deluxe version of the album includes, among other things, three tracks from the joint show with Channel Aid from the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie.

Channel Aid – live in Concert by JBL collects donations for charitable projects such as “Chance to Dance” or “Right to Play” via digital media and platforms (e.g. YouTube, TikTok or Spotify). The donations are generated via the classic form of monetization of the platforms. This means that no viewer has to donate their own money, just consume and enjoy the content in digital form.

Since February 5, 2024, Channel Aid has been broadcasting the content “on-demand” on YouTube and starts with the hit that James Arthur became famous with over 11 years ago: Impossible. In the coming days and weeks, further recordings will be published on Channel Aid’s digital channels and made available for a good cause. James Arthur’s deluxe album will also be available on digital streaming platforms (e.g. Spotify, Amazon Music or Apple Music) in the near future and will collect donations for Channel Aid’s projects.

In addition to content from James Arthur, the musical works of the artists “Davina Michelle” and “Leroy Sanchez” can also be expected, who were also on stage as part of Channel Aid – live in Concert by JBL.

Channel Aid founder Fabian Narkus: “It was an unforgettable evening, with a special sound, in a setup that doesn’t repeat so quickly. Of course, we very much hope that the content generates as many views as possible so that the charity projects can benefit from it on a large scale. ” In order to give the content further reach on a national level, there is now a digital out of home campaign on the network of the channel aid partner “Wall Decaux”. The campaign runs until March 31, 2024.
