Vienna (OTS) – DIE.NACHT on ORF 1 opens a new edition of “Welcome Austria” on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 10 p.m., in which Stermann and Grissemann welcome “ZIB 2” presenter Margit Laufer and cabaret artist Benedikt Mitmannsgruber. After the weekly gag fireworks, virtuoso synchro comedy by Maschek and pointed conversations with the guests, “The Tuesday Night Chapel” provides the catchy tune of the week. Afterwards there will be Dacapo editions of the stand-up comedy “Pratersterne” (11 p.m.) – with Gery Seidl, Tereza Hossa, Josef Jöchl and Yasmo & die Klangkantine on the stage of the Vienna Fluc – and the “Sendung ohneName” (11.30 p.m ), which is all about islands, is on the program.

The Viennese TV journalist Margit Laufer has gotten off to a flying start in her career and has been presenting “ZIB 2” since January 2022. On her first visit to the Marx Palast, the likeable anchorwoman chats from the “Zeit im Bild” background, gives an insight behind the scenes of the ORF’s most important news program and reveals her very personal highlights of the past few years.
Benedikt Mitmannsgruber has also been touring Germany and Austria with his current program “The Strange Case of Benedikt Mitmannsgruber” since 2022. While he wouldn’t cut a particularly good figure in the “ZIB” with a Norwegian sweater, the Upper Austrian has made the garment his trademark and is therefore also known in the cabaret and comedy scene as the “man with a Norwegian sweater and mustache”. In his talk with Stermann and Grissemann, he proves that he scores points above all with his humor.
