ARTE also convinced the dance subject world this year: in the current survey of international critics of the renowned journal dance Arte Concert is again awarded the winner in the “Online” category.
As in the previous year, the survey in the yearbook 2025/26 praised the diversity and versatility of the online dancing offer in Arte Concert: “The portal is a shop window for all varieties of dance-from hip-hop to ballet, from contemporary style to ballroom”.
Arte Concert offers a comprehensive online offer of stage art: from dance, ballet and performance to classical, opera, jazz, hip-hop, rock, metal and pop. Across the genres, users have over 900 concerts and productions live or as VoD every year. Much of them are European co-productions and can be called up in the six ARTE languages.
A highlight for European dance on Arte Concert is currently with “Ritual“To discover online: French choreographer Benjamin Millepied and his dance company La Dance Project were inspired by the three revolutionary composers Pierre Boulez, Igor Stravinsky and Béla Bartók in this production. Available online and on September 7th at 11:35 p.m. on TV).
Benedict Mirow’s documentation gives an insight behind the scenes of the dance flate “Becoming a Swan“, which illuminates the world of classic ballet through the eyes of various dancers, especially the Paris Opera Ballet School, the San Francisco Ballet and the Bavarian junior beam. The film shows both the beautiful and challenging aspects of this art form.
