With the start of the 2025/26 season, Salzburg celebrates a sporty novelty: The newly founded women’s team of FC Red Bull Salzburg starts for the first time in the Admiral Women Bundesliga. The new team emerges from the previous team of FC Bergheim, which has been active in the Admiral Women Bundesliga for years. Due to the partnership with FC Red Bull Salzburg, the team will now compete for the first time under the “FC Red Bull Salzburg Women” brand in the highest Austrian league. The players not only bear a new jersey, but also a new responsibility – as sporting and social role models.

Just one year after the start of the partnership with the men’s team of the Red Bulls, 21Bitcoin is now also getting in at FC Red Bull Salzburg. The company operates a leading platform for the purchase and safe custody of Bitcoin. More and more brands from the digital and financial world are recognizing a strong platform in women’s football with keeping, reach and future potential. Sponsoring is an example of this change and the progressive professionalization of women’s football in Austria.

At the same time, 21Bitcoin starts an initiative to promote financial independence from women under the title “21 Women – Education. Bitcoin”. “Our goal is to actively encourage women to deal with topics such as bitcoin, saving and long -term asset structure. The partnership is a clear statement for us: saving and investing is not a male thing,” explains CEO Daniel Winklhammer.

As part of the campaign, the Salzburg -based company is involved nationally with 21 athletes, influencers as well as women from business and politics in order to draw attention to the importance of financial self -determination. Lectures, media work, podcasts and video formats as well as interactive workshops and webinars in cooperation with “Les Femmes Orange” are planned. The aim is to impart practical knowledge – and create a platform that enables them in the long term for an independent financial decision.
