With the bachelor’s degree in radiology technology and the academic university course Sonography, the Campus Wien Experts trains, which are essential for high -quality medical care. With the recently opened Sonography Lab, the university sets new standards in practical training in the field of ultrasound.
Sonography Lab opened
The new Sonography LAB comes up with top technology: nine ultrasound devices from high-end, point-of-care to handheld devices and three simulation systems, which contain 600 anonymized, complex pathological cases from different specialist disciplines. In modern LAB, students can practice real studies, even without contact with patients. The typical sonographic pattern recognition is also trained so that the students can recognize and classify changes in practice. Only simulation systems and dummies, so-called phantoms, are used for sensitive studies such as ultrasound examinations during pregnancy. In other studies, such as B. the abdomen or the heart is re -enacted real studies with test subjects. The Sonography Lab is used in the Bachelor’s degree in radiology technology and in the academic university course Sonography.
