The mango TV show “Singer 2025” of the broadcaster Hunan TV redefines the global cultural exchange-with music as a bridge between countries and cultures. The show received the support of the UNESCO in two consecutive years and has already been highlighted in 15 social media contributions from official organizations-including authorities of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the messages of Brazil and Malaysias in China as well as Tourism Malaysia.
To date, “Singer 2025” has achieved over 85 billion digital impressions. This year the UNESCO also accepted Shan Yichun’s interpretation of the song “Li Bai” in its campaign for the Ozean World Day in order to draw attention to the protection of the sea worldwide. The growing international attention underlines the extraordinary cultural influence of the show, the diverse music, impressive stage design and emotional performances touch people around the world.
A special strength of the format lies in its ability to inspire international artists to deal intensively with Chinese culture. The American singer Mickey Guyton integrated in their performance in their performance, effortlessly integrated Chinese lyrics and thus expressed their affection for China. Her compatriot Grace Kinstler enthused the audience with two soulful appearances completely in Chinese – proof of the emotional attraction of Chinese pop music and her sincere appreciation of culture. The Japanese singer Beni was also deeply moved by the warm enthusiasm of the Chinese audience.
Other international artists – including the US singers Charlie Puth and Jordan Smith as well as the Canadian singer Michael BublĂ© – immerse themselves in traditional Chinese culture. They practiced in calligraphy, admired the championship artist Qi Baishi and experienced customs of the dragon boat festival, traditional Chinese medicine, the atmosphere of historical academies and regional cuisine. So they received an first -hand insight into the cultural diversity and wealth of China.
“Singer 2025” continues to combine people around the world through music and offers a stage on which a variety of voices belong and moving stories can be shared. The show is looking forward to inviting artists from all over the world to a common cultural dialogue in the future.
