The popular day of self -help from Vienna Health Promotion – WIG takes place every two years in the Vienna town hall, this year it is time again: On September 28, 2025, the ballroom transformed into a lively place of encounter, information and networking around the motto “Self -help for all generations” and is particularly aimed at parents of chronically ill children, young adults and people in the middle of life and senior. “The day of self -help takes place for the ninth time and this year we also offer a diverse program on health -related and social topics for those affected and relatives. We cordially invite you to come by and use the offer with free admission,” says Dennis Beck, Managing Director of Vienna Health Promotion – WIG.
Workshops, lectures and networking with over 60 Viennese self-help groups: hands-on program for young to old in all phases of life
At the day of self -help, everything revolves around information, exchange and networking and visitors is given the opportunity to get to know Vienna self -help groups and to get into conversation with those affected. In addition to informative lectures on mental health, lack of sleep, inner restlessness, dementia and dealing with chronically ill children, workshops invite you to become active and participate – from yoga, line dance, drums to an exchange of how the medical conversation succeeds.
It is worth coming by, the day of self -help has something to offer for everyone.

Self-help support center SUS Vienna
The self-help support center SUS Vienna in the Vienna Health Promotion-WIG is the first point of contact for self-help in Vienna. She informs and helps with the search for self -help groups, advises existing groups and supports groups in foundation. In addition, the SUS Vienna organizes the day of self -help every two years as an audience event in the Vienna City Hall for all Viennese. More about this under sus-wien.at
